For more than a decade, Rivit has specialized in creating and supporting data management solutions for the Lotus Domino platform.  Our newest solution Dcom, was carefully designed to assist in the preservation of, and access to Domino application data without the need to retain any Domino licenses. 

In a transition from Domino to a new platform, the effort to migrate all Domino applications is large and costly.  When applications are no longer in use, but still contain important and relevant data, it is no longer necessary to recreate these applications in the new target platform. Dcom allows you to archive and retrieve all existing documents. Build new applications on new platforms without having to consider the existing Domino logic and data.

Dcom transitions Domino applications to XML based archives and provides a platform from which to manage and search for application data and documents. Accessed via a web browser, Dcom enables end users to view application data in a manner similar to Domino.  The Domino view structures are reproduced in Dcom, while all documents are rendered to pdf packages.  Dcom also extends the limitations of the current domino view functionality by permitting content sorting and filtering in addition to search and discovery.
